A five-minute forest walk to a peat-brown waterfall, then the A82 climbs onto Rannoch Moor — ten miles of bog, lochans and nothing, one of Europe's last true wildernesses.

The moor funnels into the most dramatic glen in Scotland. Park at the Three Sisters viewpoint and give the walls time — the massacre story and the geology both demand it.
